Participants will compete for a chance to win a $100 gift card! 2nd place will receive a $50 gift card.

  1. What does your trash monster look like? Based on the waste you created today or this week, show us the monster you’ve created!
  2. Write a short paragraph (2-4 sentences) explaining how your trash monster formed and what you will do in the future to conquer it and keep Contra Costa waterways clean.
  1. Create one piece of artwork that shows what your trash monster looks like and/or how it impacts our waterways. What are some items you often throw away? What is their impact on our waterways and landfill? Can you reuse them or replace them with something else? How can you create less waste? The artwork you submit can be a painting, drawing, collage, or sculpture. Have fun and be creative!
  2. Write a short description in the submission form explaining your artwork and its impact on our waterways. Explain why it’s important to conquer your trash monster.
  3. Submit a digital copy of your artwork here by September 15, 2024 to be considered for the contest giveaway. Digital submissions must clearly show your artwork and NOT be blurry or cropped.
